As you may be aware, there will be a lunar eclipse early tomorrow morning (March 3) ending at 6:57 AM. Student tardies and absences will be excused to allow families the opportunity to maintain respect for this occurrence should they choose to do so.
Remember to follow the traffic cones and signs in our driveway as you drop off and pick up students. Traffic is one way coming in and going out. It's only day one and we already have a man down.

MCES traffic alert starting Thursday, February 26. Please read and share!

UNHS Mobile Dental Clinic will be at MCES from March 2-5. If you would like for your child to get seen by a dentist, you need to stop by the front office and fill out the registration packet. This free service is available to all students in PreK-6th grade.

Friday, February 20: Today MCES school will not hold in-person classes due to the weather and road conditions. We will have a virtual day and today's assignments will be emailed to all students.
Join us tonight for our Shoe Game demonstration and storytelling from 5:30-110:00 PM in the MCES cafeteria.

The after-school program has been cancelled today, February 18, due to bad weather. All students will be sent home at 3:00.
After consulting with cultural experts, we will host a shoe game demonstration and storytelling this Thursday at MCES. Join us from 5:30- 11:00 in the cafeteria.

Come to the February SCC meeting at 10 AM today at MCES.

The west entrance at the front of the school will be closed starting tomorrow, February 12. Plan to allow extra time for drop-offs and pickups.

Come to the Star Party at MCES tonight at 5:30 in the cafeteria. We will have student presentations, dinner, and star gazing with high-powered telescopes. See you there!

This Wednesday is CCR Day. School will be dismissed at 12. Parent conferences will be held from 1-6. We look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday.

February brings two fun family events to you. Mark February 9 and 19 on your calendars and join us at MCES to both learn something new and have some fun.


If your 4th-6th grade student performed yesterday at Rock Point, please have them wear their traditional clothes tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 23) to school. They are performing their songs and dances at a school-wide assembly from 12-1. All parents and guardians are invited to attend. Please park OUTSIDE the fence to the gym. Gym doors will open at 12; parents should sit on the south bleachers as the north bleachers are reserved for students.
The bus has left Rock Point and will arrive at MCES around 4:20. You can pick you your student at the front of the school at that time.
